The most important aspect of any business is its people. By working closely with your business, HR-HUB can quickly gain an understanding of the type of person that will be successful. Hiring the right person can be a time consuming task. Often managers do not have the time to manage the recruitment and selection process effectively because of competing priorities. HR-HUB's core business is not recruitment although we have successfully recruited hundreds of staff. HR-HUB's core business is to support your business and we recruit as though we were your permanent HR Department. 

Employee Development

Employee development encompasses two process: Performance Management and Succession Management

One of the primary reasons for employees leaving a company is because they don't feel appreciated. In many businesses, employees will typically hear feedback regarding their performance only when it is less than optimum. Employees appreciate feedback on what they are doing well and many also want to hear what they could do to improve. A formal structure, whereby you have performance discussions at least annually, assists in addressing this issue. There are many Performance Systems available. HR-HUB learns what your business values most and then tailors a Performance Management System around what is important to your business.

Succession Planning is a documented process that identifies key positions in an organization and ensures there are plans to backfill these key positions successfully, should employees currently filling these positions vacate their positions. The reasons for employees vacating these positions are numerous. However, the reasons fall into one of two categories "Planned Vacancy" and "Unplanned Vacancy". An example of a Planned Vacancy would be one in which someone has announced they are retiring far in advance of their retirement date. An example of an Unplanned Vacancy would be one in which a current employee of yours has been successfully recruited for a position in another company, resulting in their resignation. Regardless of the reason for the vacancy, the more thorough you have been in identifying key positions plus identifying and training successors, the less negative impact someone leaving will have on your business. Talent Retention

Succession Planning greatly assists with Talent Retention. When successors to key positions know they are successors and there are plans in place to help develop them, they are less likely to leave your employ. Nonetheless, many businesses are not positioned for successors in key positions. Rather, their objective is simply to retain their valuable employees.
