Paul Shemilt is a Certified Human Resources Professional and Adler Trained Coached with over 25 years of extensive experience optimizing individual and team performance. His career began as a Production Supervisor and progressed to a Corporate Director, Human Resources for Fortune 500 company, prior to establishing HR-HUB. Paul has established, developed and managed a Human Resource functions for many companies. He was a Leadership Team member for several Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales Facilities and received recognition for helping one facility change its entire mode of operation and another to achieve dramatic improvement in results which included meeting its budget objectives for the first time in five years. Paul has successfully negotiated labour agreements with national and international unions across Canada. He initiated proactive labour relations practices that improved morale and reduced grievances. Paul was Chief Spokesperson and negotiated a global manufacturing facility's first 4-year Collective Agreement at a location where previously there had been poor relations. Conversely, he has also been successful in troubleshooting and remedying situations where there was significant threat of employees at a non-union location becoming unionized. While responsible for a corporation’s health & safety program, Paul proposed, developed and instituted a full wellness program that turned a potential Workers' Compensation surcharge to a $1.2 million refund. In May 2007, Paul formalized the coaching component of HR-HUB. As a result Paul attended the International Coaching Federation’s accredited Adler School of International Learning (also in partnership with University of Toronto’s OISE) to attain coaching accreditation which he attained in August 2008. Paul personally coaches leaders including successful entrepreneurs, individuals in career transition and organizational clients.
